Mediation

Book for your intake consultation

Mediation is your civilised process to reach agreement about the things that are important to you. This is your separation so you set the agenda.

We work with you to identify the things that you already agree on as well as the things that need negotiation and agreement.

As your Mediator, we are neutral. We work with you to make sure that you both bring your best selves to the negotiating table.

Our mediation process looks like this:

  1. We meet with each of you individually so that we can get to know you and hear your story (allow 1 hour for your individual meeting).

  2. We meet with you together (aka your joint mediation session). Your joint session will be limited to 3 hours. In our experience, everyone is exhausted after that.

  3. If there are things that still need negotiating, we can schedule another joint session. This can also be helpful if, in our first joint session, we have identified information that you need in order to be able to consider all options available.

Our Mediators are qualified as Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners with the Attorney General’s Department and are able to issue Certificates under Section 60I of the Family Law Act 1975.
